Together, we’re combining Akuna’s eco-friendly soap-making know-how—like using used cooking oil—with Fakfak’s rich nutmeg fat. The goal? To reduce the cooperative’s reliance on palm oil, create cleaner alternatives, and develop a standout range of nutmeg soaps that are planet-friendly and perfect for the premium market.
Sharing Skills, Building Confidence
We’re not just making soap—we’re building skills. Akuna is training Myristica’s team on how to process oils, craft high-quality soaps, and package them beautifully. It’s about passing on knowledge and making sure local producers can grow with confidence, using sustainable methods every step of the way.
